“Pieces of the Past” is my current collection of mixed media artwork.  With a unique blend of plasters, glazes, paints and gold leaf, each piece pays homage to great artisans from the past, incorporating the delicate curves of the wrought iron found throughout Charleston or a portion of intricate vintage European tile designs.  A few of the smaller pieces are done on canvas while the larger pieces are done on wood panels that were found on new construction job sites - I love recycling wood that was scheduled to be thrown away to create my artwork!  Each piece in the collection is wired for hanging and completed with a wax finish, adding a soft sheen and providing long lasting durability.
